Redensity I:

 What is it ? Redensity I is a highly effective treatment to rejuvenate and improve skin quality. Using a clever combination of needling while delivering a unique blend of 8 amino acids, 3 antioxidants, minerals, vitamin B6, and hyaluronic acid to improve skin hydration and texture, reduce skin crepiness and fine lines and to give your skin a healthy glow.

This treatment can be used on the face, including the under-eye area, neck, and decolletage. Local anaesthetic cream is applied 30 minutes before the treatment to ensure you are comfortable. 

Profhilo®:

What is it? Profhilo® is an advanced new injectable skin treatment from Italy, which provides an innovative and exciting new approach to anti-ageing known as “bioremodeling”.

Profhilo® is an ultra pure hyaluronic acid, the component of our skin responsible for holding moisture in our skin, keeping skin  hydrated and dewy looking. As we age , our natural production of hyaluronic acid decreases . The most dramatic decrease in hyaluronic acid occurs in the few years after menopause when our skin may suddenly change, becoming  dry and dull with  fine lines appearing . Profhilo® integrates smoothly into the tissues, boosting these reducing levels of hyaluronic acid with visible results.

How does it work?  “Bioremodeling” refers to remodeling of the extracellular matrix  in terms of elasticity and support  which, it is claimed  promotes the viability of fibroblasts, keratinocytes and adipocytes. Clinical data confirms resulting improvements in skin texture, elasticity and hydration with an immediate tightening effect. 

What does the treatment involve? The treatment is quick and easy with no downtime.  It involves just a small number of small very superficial injections into the areas chosen to be  treated. Treatment can be performed on the face or the neck area. A second treatment is recommended one month later. Effects last 6 to 12 months, depending on the degree of ageing and skin condition. Limelight IPL/photofacial

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) uses pulsed light technology to rejuvenate the skin. Photo rejuvenation is a non-invasive treatment used to treat photo damage (brown spots), even out skin tone, remove superficial red veins and reduce fine lines all without disrupting the skin’s surface.

Results include smoother, improved overall texture, a brighter and younger looking complexion with longer term collagen stimulation resulting in a more luminous, healthy appearance.

Which areas can be treated? 

The Limelight Photofacial is used for any area of the face, neck, hands and décolletage.

Are there any side effects that I should be aware of? 

During the treatment you may feel a slight pinching or stinging sensation due to target areas being absorbed by the light. Directly afterwards, the skin can be slightly red and brown spots will darken. This typically will last a few hours to several days; if desired, mineral make-up can be applied to cover redness and darkening brown spots. 

There are a few important things to remember when considering IPL:

• You must avoid sun exposure in the weeks before and after treatment, which means we usually only offer this treatment during the winter months
• Usually a course of 3-4 treatments is required to achieve the desired result with each treatment spaced 4-6 weeks apart.
• After treatment, especially for hyperpigmentation, the treated area can look red and after a few days the pigment itself will slough away. You will need to plan your treatments around social, work events.
• IPL is relatively painless compared to other rejuvenation techniques but local anaesthetic can be applied if required.
